WASHINGTON, D.C., OCT. 6, 2011 (Zenit.org).- The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops will meet Nov. 14-16 for their fall assembly, with the agenda including the approval of the Blessed John Paul II memorial on the Proper Calendar.

A statement from the bishops announced the dates and setting for the assembly, to be held in Baltimore, noting that the prelates will hear the first address of Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York as president of the USCCB.

Other items on the agenda include discussion and vote on changing the current Task Force on Health Care into a permanent Subcommittee on Health Care Issues under the Committee on Doctrine.

There will also be discussion on religious liberty, which the bishops say is increasingly threatened in the United States. They have established an ad hoc committee to deal with this issue.

And the bishops will hear reports by Cardinal Daniel DiNardo on the work of Project Rachel, the post-abortion healing initiative, and Cardinal Donald Wuerl on groups of Anglicans seeking full communion with the Catholic Church.
