The Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace, sponsored by Canada’s bishops, announced Thursday that it will join Caritas Internationalis in a special focus on world hunger.
This will begin with launching a “wave of prayer” this coming December 10, International Human Rights Day.
The campaign theme by Caritas Internationalis, “One human family, food for all”, will also be used by Development and Peace as its theme for the 2014 Share Lent Campaign.
According to news reports earlier this week, Pope Francis will offer his blessing and support for theCaritas Internationalis campaign in a video message to be released at the beginning of the global campaign.
