The Pope’s Trip to Colombia: Prayer Vigil planned for September 5

ROME, AUGUST 23, 2017 (Zenit.org).- The Episcopal Conference of Colombia invited the faithful to a Vigil of Prayer on September 5, eve of the Holy Father’s arrival in the country, to “pray to God for His graces so that, through Pope Francis, every Colombian may receive and be confirmed in faith, unity and love.”
On that day all parishes, homes, Religious Houses, Seminaries and lay Movements of the country will be able to organize their activities meditating in addition on the subjects that the Pope will address in the four cities: “The Family, Artisan of Peace and Defender of Life,” “The Family, School of Reconciliation, “The Family, Seedbed of Vocations” and “The Family, Defender of Human Dignity and Rights.”
The Apostolic Journey planned for this coming September 6-11, includes an emergency medical team headed by Dr Francisco Holguin, head of Emergencies of the Holy Faith Foundation and three additional doctors, reported today Radio Caracol, specifying that in addition the infrastructure of the Clinic will be made available in case the Pontiff or someone of his entourage might need it.
Dr Holguin added: “we have had experience in organizing different care for dignitaries.” According to the new reports, the doctor has not yet received Pope Francis’ clinical history, although he will soon know the doctors accompanying the Pontiff.
Moreover, some 2,500 individuals as part of the health plan in Bogota, which will be activated for the papal visit. Two ambulances will accompany the Holy Father and in the places where different events will be held, there will be brigades to attend to the emergencies that might present themselves.
