Pope Francis Asks Prayers for Pilgrimage

Apostolic Journey to Myanmar, Bangladesh

Pope Francis asked the 30,000 gathered in St. Peter’s Square for the November 26, 2017, Angelus to pray for him on his apostolic journey to Myanmar and Bangladesh.  The pilgrimage is November 27-30, 2017, in Myanmar; and November 30-December 2, 2017, in Bangladesh.

“This evening I will begin my Apostolic Journey to Myanmar and Bangladesh,” the Holy Father said. “I ask you to accompany me with prayer so that my presence is a sign of closeness and hope for those populations.”
In a video message to Myanmar the Pope said :“My visit is intended to confirm the Catholic community of Myanmar in its faith in God and witness of the Gospel, which teaches the dignity of every man and woman, and demands that we open our hearts to others, especially the poorest and most in need.» You can view the video here:

 
 
 
 
 
 
In his message to the people of Bangladesh, the Holy Father said he comes “as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ” and also wishes “to encounter the entire population”  You can view the video here:
