The 308th Warsaw Walking Pilgrimage has set out for Jasna Gora. The pilgrims will pray on the route for the beatification of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski.
In the pilgrimage take part over 5,000 pilgrims. They were blessed on the steps of the Holy Spirit Church by Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, Metropolitan of Warsaw, who previously presided the Holy Mass.
This is one of the oldest pilgrimages in Poland called „The Mother of Walking Pilgrimages”. For the first time, it set our for Jasna Gora in 1717. „We are the heirs of the great pilgrimage tradition from Warsaw to Jasna Gora” – recalled Cardinal Nycz in the homily, calling for responsibility for its cultivation.
