(ZENIT News / Vatican City, 09.12.2022).- Pope Francis sent the Almoner of the Catholic Church, Cardinal Konrad Krajewiski, to the Island of Ischia, south of Italy. It was a gesture of the Holy Father’s closeness to the people affected by the disastrous landslides of last November 26, which left at least 12 people dead, and many families homeless.
In addition to approaching and listening to the affected families, Cardinal Krajewski took part in the wakes of some of the victims.
