Nigeria: another priest kidnapped

Just a few days earlier another Catholic priest had been kidnapped in Nigeria.

(ZENIT News / Numan, 05.23.2024).- Catholic priest Father Oliver Buba was abducted during the early hours of Tuesday morning (21st May) by gunmen.

Father Buba was seized at around 1am from the presbytery of St Rita’s Church, Bare in Numan Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

Yola Diocese have released no details about who kidnapped him.

In a short statement, Bishop Stephen Dani Mamza said: “We invite all Christ’s Faithful and all men and women of goodwill to earnestly prat for the quick and safe release of our Priest.

“We commend our brother, Very Rev. Fr. Oliver Buba to the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests, for his speedy release from the hands of his abductors.»
