Resignation and appointment of the Archbishop of Halifax-Yarmouth (Canada)
The Holy Father accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth (Canada), presented by His Excellency Monsignor Anthony Mancini.
He is succeeded by His Excellency Most Reverend Monsignor Brian Joseph Dunn, currently Coadjutor Archbishop of the same Archdiocese.

The Holy Father has appointed as Auxiliary Bishops of Guadalajara (Mexico) the Reverend Manuel González Villaseñor, of the clergy of Guadalajara, parish priest of San Francisco Javier de Las Colinas , assigning them the titular See of Ploaghe and Eduardo Muñoz Ochoa, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara , Formator of the Major Seminary, assigning him the titular See of Satafis.

HE Mons. Manuel González Villaseñor was born on December 16, 1963, in Guadalajara. He entered the Major Seminary of Guadalajara and received his priestly ordination on May 19, 1991, incardinating himself in the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Guadalajara. He has held the following positions: Parish Vicar of various Parishes, Chaplain of the Colegio Marista Cervantes Bosque, Parish Priest and Episcopal Vicar of the Northern Suburbs. So far, Javier de Las Colinas has been parish priest of San Francisco.

HE Msgr. Eduardo Muñoz Ochoa was born on 13 October 1968 in Guadalajara. He was ordained a priest on May 22, 1997, by incardinating himself in the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Guadalajara. He holds a Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome and a Licentiate in Philosophy from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) in Guadalajara. He has held the following positions: Parochial Vicar, Formator and Spiritual Director of the Seminary, and Executive Secretary of the Dimensión Episcopal para los Seminarios de México. Up to now, he has been a Formator in the Major Seminary.
