(ZENIT News / Vatican City, 14.12.2022).- Last Monday, December 12, the Holy See Press Office made it known that Pope Francis had sent a letter to all Heads of State inviting them to make a gesture of clemency to people deprived of their freedom.
The Holy Father’s missive suggests to the Heads of State that he is referring to those people that they themselves deem appropriate to benefit from this measure. According to the Press Office’s note, the letter ends stating that the Pope asks for this gesture “so that this time marked by tensions, injustices and conflicts can open to the grace that comes from the Lord.”
