The Canadian Religious Conference (CRC), which represents the leaders of Catholic religious congregations from across Canada, is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its founding this year. The anniversary is being marked at their 30th General Assembly, which began today in Montreal

A souvenir album, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, was prepared to commemorate the anniversary. The album tells the history of the Conference, in broad strokes, from its founding to the present day.

The Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow album includes excerpts from archive documents interspersed with the testimonies of men and women religious who were willing to put down in writing what future they imagine for consecrated life.

Dialogue is the keyword that the CRC Executive Director, Yvon Pomerleau, OP, uses to summarize 60 years of history. The CRC, he writes, «has been a place of learning and development of dialogue at several levels. Dialogue with and among religious congregations, dialogue about religious life, dialogue in the Church and dialogue with the world.»

Excerpts of testimonies will eventually be published on the Canadian Religious Conference website: www.crc-canada.org
