(ZENIT News / Rome, 09.07.2024).- The day after his visit to Trieste, Pope Francis visited an ophthalmologist in a street not that close to the Vatican but very close to the Piazza del Popolo, one of the city’s best known Squares.
It’s not the first time the Pope made a “low profile” visit. He has done so also to a pharmacy and a records shop. On this occasion, although the Holy Father’s departure was handled discreetly, giving notice of it a couple of days in advance, there was a bit of a crowd around the Optica Spiezia
Moreover, the fact of the Pope’s exit from the Vatican shows that at last he can enjoy a period of rest, in which he can attend to things that he needs.
