(ZENIT News / Washington, 08.03.2024).- In a compelling two-hour interview that swiftly went viral, Elon Musk sat down with renowned psychologist Jordan Peterson at the Gigafactory Texas. The conversation, aired on The Daily Wire+, amassed over 18 million views on X within hours, touching on topics as varied as artificial intelligence, Christianity, and Musk’s personal challenges with his transgender child.

One of the most poignant moments came when Musk discussed his transgender child, Xavier, who now identifies as female. Musk vehemently criticized «gender-affirming care,» calling it «evil» and labeling it «child sterilization and mutilation.» He recounted his own experience, expressing how he felt deceived into signing documents during his child’s transition amidst fears of suicide exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

«I was misled into this. They didn’t explain that puberty blockers are actually sterilization drugs. I’ve basically lost my child. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason—because your child is dead. My child, Xavier, is dead, killed by the progressive mind virus,» Musk declared, igniting a storm of discussion on social media.

Regarding religion, Musk, while identifying as non-religious, voiced his respect for Christian principles. «I think the teachings of Jesus are good and wise,» he remarked, emphasizing the significance of forgiveness. «The notion of forgiveness is essential. If you don’t forgive, everyone ends up blind. That’s why I’m a big believer in the principles of Christianity,» he added, describing himself as a «cultural Christian.»

The dialogue also delved into the dangers of artificial intelligence, a topic Musk has been vocal about. He revealed his concerns, sparked by a conversation with former Google CEO Larry Page. «He called me a specist. I’m a specist who defends humans over machines. Larry’s view is that we’ll all upload our minds into computers and become robots,» Musk explained.

«It’s crazy not to be pro-human. If humans aren’t on the human team, who will be? That was the final straw. I realized we needed a new AI company to counterbalance Google,» he concluded, stressing the importance of balancing technological advancements with the preservation of humanity.

The Musk-Peterson interview resonated widely, not only for its in-depth exploration of these significant issues but also for Musk’s unfiltered approach to personal and controversial topics. From his stance on gender identity to his reflections on AI and Christianity, Musk provided a multifaceted perspective that has spurred extensive debate and contemplation.
