This afternoon Pope Francis received in audience His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.
Vatican spokesman, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, explained that the 40-minute informal session delt primarily with the Pope’s upcoming May 24-26 visit to the Holy Land.
Prince Ghazi bin Muhammed also attended.
Father Lombardi added that the king reaffirmed the sentiment of the people of Jordan who are preparing to welcome the Pope and his people’s openness to “collaboration in the commitment to peace and interfaith dialogue.”(D.C.L.)
