While it was good to read excerpts of Cardinal DiNardo’s inspiring sermon at the Red Mass, it could have been noted that the Mass was organized by the Catholic lawyers’ group (the John Carroll Society) of the Archdiocese of Washington, that Archbishop Wuerl celebrated, that the head of the Order of Malta was in attendance, as was Vice President Biden and six of the nine Supreme Court justices. And, last but not least, the Red Mass was celebrated in beautiful St. Matthew’s Cathedral!
