Thank you for writing this article. Anti-Catholicism is deeply embedded in American society, and with the rise of the secular age has become more so.

As I have experienced in the workplace; you can put up a picture of seminude people in your cube and just about anything else, put up a small, wallet-size picture of Pope Benedict or anything else remotely Catholic and people will stop talking to you and management will make it abundantly clear they are not happy with you.

To paraphrase Pope Benedict in his book, Jesus of Nazareth, God is ok as long as he does not interfere with our essential purposes.

Vatican Clarification on Delay of Anglican Provision

VATICAN CITY, OCT. 31, 2009 (Zenit.org).- The clarification issued today by Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, director of the Holy See press office, on speculation for the reasons for the delay of the announced apostolic constitution allowing for personal ordinariates for Anglicans wishing to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church, is available on ZENIT’s Web page.
