Cardinal Jaime Sin, 74, Hospitalized

MANILA, Philippines, MARCH 30, 2003 (Zenit.org).- Cardinal Jaime Sin was hospitalized after suffering convulsions apparently triggered by a recent stroke, a spokesman said, according to the Associated Press.

The 74-year-old cardinal was in stable condition and was undergoing a series of tests, Bishop Socrates Villegas said, according to AP.

One of the tests showed that Sin had a mild stroke several days ago and doctors were saying his convulsions today may have been triggered by that, the wire service quoted Bishop Villegas as saying.
