Pope Francis on March 30, 2019, visited the Institute Mohammed VI for the training of Imams, Muslim preachers, and prayer leaders in Rabat.  The visit was part of his March 30-31 apostolic journey to Morocco.
On his arrival, he was welcomed by His Majesty Mohammed VI, by the Minister of Religious Affairs, by the Director of the Institute, and the President of the Council of the Ulema.  The viewed a video about the institute, followed by the greeting of the Minister Religious affairs and the testimony by a European student and an African student. Music was performed from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim traditions.
