The hymn, inspired in the motto “Let Us Walk Together,” of Pope Francis’ Apostolic Journey to Romania, from May 31 to June 2, 2019, was presented last Saturday, May 11.
According to the official page of the Pope’s visit to Romania, the presentation of the hymn took place in the framework of the “Festival of Joy” Festivalul Bucuriei in Romanian), an event organized by the Romanian Catholic Archdiocese of Bucharest, to prepare for the Holy Father’s visit to the country.
This special hymn will be heard on the streets of Bucharest on the afternoon of May 31, when the Holy Father goes to the Cathedral of Saint Joseph to preside over the Holy Mass.
Father Jerome Ambarousi, the hymn’s author, said it’s an attempt to express Romanians joy on welcoming Pope Francis. The hymn was sung by 17 soloists and more than 50 choristers of several Catholic parishes of Bucharest, directed by Erica Dacoc.
Taking part in the video on the hymn were more than 200 persons of all ages, distributed in different Catholic churches and Centers, such as Saint Joseph’s Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
