Concert Planned for El Salvador Quake Victims

MIAMI, Florida, FEB. 22, 2001 (Zenit.org).- Catholic singers and musicians residing in South Florida will combine efforts in a concert to support El Salvador´s earthquake victims.

The concert will be held here Friday, March 9, in St. Michael´s Church, at 2987 West Flagler Street.

Among the performers are Aquarela, Carmen de Jesús Escandón, Claribel Mercier, Creation, Cristy Arias, Fernando Gómez, Grupo Alianza, Irayda Yocham, Jorge Enrique del Rivero, Julio Torres, Karysma, Landolfo D´Aquino, Lazos de Luz, Noe Amezcua, Olguita Urbina, Orlando Ponce and Yeshica Yanes.

Among other nationalities, the participating musicians are Cuban, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, Panamanian, Dominican, Mexican and Honduran.

All the funds collected from the musical event will be channeled through Caritas of the Archdiocese of Miami.
