Catholic Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz of Moscow has worked to ensure Russian participation in the event. He did so at the request of the Vatican congregation, which organizes the worldwide videoconferences.

Theologians from Italy, Spain, the United States, the Philippines, Colombia, Germany, Taiwan, Australia and South Africa will discuss the post-Vatican II thought on four sacraments: holy orders, reconciliation, marriage and anointing of the sick.
