The Czech Caritas is helping four schools in the Chechen capital of Grozny, and six kindergartens in refugee camps on the border with the Russian republic of Ingushetia, Vatican Radio reported.

The schools’ premises have been restored, cleaned and repainted in bright colors.

Katerina Perunova, in charge of Caritas-Grozny, welcomed the aid given by Czech volunteers, which enables children to learn and play in peace, amid ongoing violence in the region.
