Archbishop Vincent Nichols of Birmingham described BBC’s coverage of the Church as unacceptable, and said a series of planned programs were «biased and hostile.»

He described how one reporter gained access to a care home by claiming to be a «Catholic and a friend» before «cornering» a priest in his late 70s to press him for information. The archbishop said his complaints to BBC have not been answered specifically, the newspaper said.
