The traditional pre-Christmas meeting with Italian youth of Catholic Action was held today in Clementine Hall in the Vatican. The young people greeted the Pope personally and wished him a happy Christmas.

“Christ brings peace as a gift,” the Holy Father said when greeting the group. “I ask you, dear young people, to become messengers of peace in your families and among your contemporaries.”

“When you return home, give by Christmas wishes to your loved ones and do not forget to pray for the Pope,” he said.
