Bishop Conley Named Administrator in Denver

DENVER, SEPT. 16, 2011 (Zenit.org).- Bishop James Conley has been named the apostolic administrator for the Archdiocese of Denver.

Bishop Conley had served as the auxiliary bishop for Archbishop Charles Chaput, who has been moved to Philadelphia.

Bishop Conley is a convert to Catholicism. He served as a priest for 23 years before his 2008 ordination as a bishop, including 10 years of service as an official in the Vatican Congregation for Bishops.
