VATICAN CITY, DEC. 7, 2011 (Zenit.org).- The Vatican is expanding its presence on YouTube to include French-language videos.

The French channel is an addition to Vatican Radio and Vatican Television posts already available in Italian, English, Spanish, and German.

The French Catholic television channel KTO, which manages the French version of short daily video reports on the main public activities of Benedict XVI, has joined the Vatican initiative.

With this project, a Vatican communiqué noted today, the Catholic Church «again shows its commitment to the use of new technologies that allow the faithful to draw ever nearer to the Pope’s voice and teachings.»
