Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia announed Monday at the US bishops’ general assembly that registration for the 2015 World Meeting of Families is now open.
The Sept. 21-25, 2015, event is expected to draw Pope Francis for his first visit to the United States.
Archbishop Chaput also announced some of those who will be speaking at the celebration and content to be expected.
The World Meeting of Families falls between the extraordinary and ordinary synods on the family, and is thus in the context of the Church’s two-year focus on family ministry and family issues.
