The Easter season had an extra moment of joy when Pope Francis greeted his predecessor, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. According to Italian News Agency ANSA, the Latin American Pontiff visited the Emeritus Pope’s home at Mater Ecclesiae monastery at the beginning of Holy Week.
The agency reported that at Mater Ecclesiae, Pope Benedict presided over the Celebration of the Passion on Good Friday and other Holy Week and Easter rites.
