Program of Pope's Trip to Sweden for Commemoration of Reformation

Two-Day Visit Includes Ecumenical Prayer Service, Public Mass

Below is the program for Pope Francis’ Oct 31-Nov.1 trip to Sweden for the joint Lutheran-Catholic commemoration of the Reformation:
October 31:
The Pope departs from Rome’s Fiumicino airport at 8.20 a.m. and will arrive at 11 a.m. at Malmö, where the official welcome will be held.He will then pay a courtesy visit to the Swedish royal family in Lund.
He will participate in the joint ecumenical prayer in the Lutheran cathedral of Lund, and in the ecumenical event in the Malmö Arena, where he will conclude the day by meeting with the ecumenical delegations.
November 1:
At 9.30 a.m., he will celebrate Holy Mass in Malmö, after which he will transfer to the city’s airport for the official farewell ceremony.
At 12.45 p.m. he will depart on his return flight, and is expected to arrive at Rome’s Ciampino airport at 3.30 p.m.
