Expressing satisfaction with “good bilateral relations,” Pope Francis on December 7, 2017, received Denis Zvizdić, President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting took place in the Vatican Apostolic Palace. President Zvizdić subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness, accompanied by Msgr. Antoine Camilleri, under-Secretary for Relations with States.
During the cordial discussions, satisfaction was expressed for the good bilateral relations and attention was focused on various themes of common interest, relating to the international and regional context, and in particular on the path of integration of the Country in the European Union and on the challenges that it finds itself facing, including those regarding economic development and the growth of employment.
Special mention was then made of the condition of the Catholic community in the country. Finally, the hope was expressed that the climate of peaceful coexistence between all members of society be consolidated.
