Yesterday, May 10, 2018, began a social media campaign “Selfie for life”. Archbishop Stanislaw Budzik, metropolitan of Lublin, who also placed his selfie on Twitter, encouraged people to take part in the campaign. The campaign is nationwide and even international.
“We want to show gratitude to God for the gift of life, to our parents for letting us come to this beautiful world and to all those who defend life, who speak with joy and gratitude about life. When we take a selfie we show ourselves, but in this case, we give a sign that we are committed to defending life and the family. It is worth devoting all our strength to these values” – said Archbishop Stanislaw Budzik.
The campaign was initiated by the Archdiocese of Lublin and wants to promote the March for Life and Family in the Archdiocese of Lublin, which will be held on June 10, 2018 under the same motto.
To participate in the action, one can take a selfie – alone, with family, friends or in a community, and then share the photo on Facebook or Twitter with a hashtag #DziekujeZeZyje (I thank for my life).
For each photo, 1 PLN zloty will be donated to the “It’s good that you’re alive” fund to help children. The final action will be a virtual heart created from the photos sent. Archbishop Stanislaw Budzik, the Metropolitan of Lublin, who also placed his selfie on Twitter encouraged to take part in the campaign. Everyone can participate in the action.
