Before the September 2, 2018, Angelus, Pope Francis got a Vespa – a special Vespa.
The Holy Father met a small delegation of participants in the “2nd International Meeting Roma Caput Vespa”, held in Rome from August 31 to September 2, 2018.  And they presented him with a 1971 Vespa 50R, personalized and with an ad hoc license plate: BF362918 (Bergoglio – Francis – year of birth – date of today).
The Vespa was donated by Vespa Club in Time, organizer and promoter – under the aegis of the Vespa Club of Italy – and will be donated to charity through the Apostolic Charities.
Six hundred Vespa riders took part in the Angelus, after parking all their Vespas inside the Vatican.
