Do not forget the Christians of the Middle East…
Chaldean Patriarch of Babylon, Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, President Delegate at the Synod on “Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment,” underscored this, as he launched three appeals in his final speech during the Vatican Synod, Oct. 27, 2018.
First, the Patriarch called for the involvement of young people: “I invite all young people of the world to make their voice heard and to contribute their charism to build a more fraternal, more just and more peaceful society.”
Second, telling the Pope he is loved and accompanied, the cardinal urged: “Go forward with courage and confidence.”
Last, he made an appeal in favor of Christians of the East: “I would like to finish my speech appealing to His Holiness, the Fathers of the Synod and young people not to forget the Christians of the East.”
