Pope Francis met the afternoon of January 25, 2019, at the Apostolic Nunciature a group of young Scholas Occurentes, who participated in the experience of “Scholas Citizenship” in Haiti, Panama, and Honduras.
The meeting lasted about 30 minutes.
The Holy Father, addressing the young, thanked them for speaking about concrete issues and has stressed the importance of dialogue between young and old, especially the grandparents, and the value of the roots.
In particular, a young Honduran sang a moving song written by her anti-bullying, which has impressed the Pope.
Scholas is an international organization of pontifical right, chaired by Argentinean José María del Corral, born from the desire of the then Archbishop Bergoglio in the Buenos Aires suburbs with the goal of providing educational experiences based on participation and personal commitment, according to an educational model based on the meeting, dialogue and respect for diversity.
