The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Eduardo Cirilo Carmona Ortega, C.O.R.C., of Parral, Mexico, as coadjutor of the diocese of Córdoba, Mexico.
Bishop Eduardo Cirilo Carmona Ortega, C.O.R.C., was born in Mexico City on March 18, 1959, carried out his ecclesiastical studies in the seminary of the Workers of the Kingdom of Christ in Querétaro and in the major seminary of Toledo, Spain, and was ordained a priest on August 20, 1983, and incardinated in the Priestly Fraternity of the Workers of the Kingdom of Christ. He obtained a licentiate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome.
On November 8, 2003, he was appointed as the first bishop of Puerto Escondido and received episcopal consecration on January 7, 2004. He was transferred to the diocese of Parral on June 27, 2012.
