(ZENIT News / Davos, 18.01.2024).- The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation — known for its history of financial support to Left Groups –, announced on Monday, January 15, that it will allocate thousands of millions of dollars to them in 2024. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees approved a record budget of US$8.6 million for 2024, an increase of US$8.3 billion in regard to the US$8.3 billion in 2023 and US$7 billion in 2022.
From Davos, Switzerland, where the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum is being held, the Foundation highlighted its commitment in areas related to gender equality, promotion of policies and global health. Over the years, the Foundation has channelled tens of millions of dollars to pro-abortion groups, non-profit organizations aligned with the USA’s Democratic Party and Chinese governmental entities, among other causes.
Pro-abortion groups have received significant sums from the Gates Foundation to promote “family planning” and the empowerment of women. The Foundation has given Planned Parenthood alone more than US$94 million since its foundation, including US$10.5 million in 2022. In that year, Planned Parenthood carried out 374,155 abortions in the United States, according to its most recent Annual Report.
Moreover, pro-abortion organizations such as the European Parliamentarian Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and MSI Reproductive Choices have also received millions of dollars from the Gates Foundation, according to tax forms.
Non-profit organizations aligned with the Democrats have been important beneficiaries. The Gates Foundation allocated more than US$200 million to the New Venture Fund since 2016, according to its donations database. New Venture Fund forms part of the network of non-profit organizations managed by Arabella Advisors, described by The New York Times as a “dark money” operation. This Fund backs a variety of Left Groups, according to tax statements.
The Gates Foundation has also financed the Tides Center, another non-profit organization friendly to Democrats, with over US$ 12 million since 2020.
In addition to Democratic Organizations, the Gates Foundation has financed the United States’ main foreign adversary. Chinese governmental organizations received US$23 million in 2022, according to tax documents. The recipients included Chinese State Universities engaged in defense research and a governmental Ministry engaged in programs to steal U.S. technology.
A great part of the Foundation’s expenditure in 2024 will focus on “reducing health inequalities,” through the provision of vaccinations against VPH and the implementation of ultrasound technology enabling Artificial Intelligence to detect obstetric risks in pregnancies, according to a press release.
“The Gates Foundation measures its impact in terms of lives saved and opportunities given to the poorest,” said Mark Suzman, CEO of the Gates Foundation.
The theme of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum is “Rebuild Trust.” Attending the meeting are top officials of the Chinese Communist Party, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, among others.
