(ZENIT News / Vatican City, 10.06.2026).- By a Chirograph dated 1 June 2026, Pope Leo XIV established the Fratello Sole Foundation with the  aim of constructing and managing, including from a financial standpoint, an agrivoltaic facility at  Santa Maria di Galeria. The facility is intended not only to meet the electricity needs of all existing  and planned facilities at the site, but also to ensure the complete energy supply of Vatican City State.

To present the Foundation’s identity and activities, its new website is now online at  www.fondazionefratellosole.va

The platform has been designed to provide clear, immediate and well-organized communication,  guiding visitors in discovering the Foundation’s mission and the environmental transition project that  lies at the heart of its energy work.

The Home Page introduces the main content through a visual approach closely linked to the themes  of the environment, the local area and its energy goals. Images, texts and information sections are  arranged in a simple, easily accessible and intuitive format, enabling visitors to learn about the  Foundation’s objectives in greater depth and quickly access the various areas of the website.

The menu provides access to other sections such as the Papal Chirograph, the Project, News and  Contact information. Within the Project section, visitors can find detailed information on the  technology, the agrivoltaic facility, its local setting and the ecological transition, offering a more  comprehensive overview of the Foundation’s activities and objectives.

At the heart of the Foundation’s work is the agrivoltaic project, which combines the production of  solar energy with the enhancement of the local area and agricultural activities. The new website  presents this initiative through content dedicated to the technology employed, the characteristics of  the facility and the geographical context in which the project is being implemented, illustrating how  energy innovation, sustainability and care for its local setting and surrounding area can be integrated  into a single model.

Particular attention has also been given to presenting the Foundation’s identity and mission through  sections dedicated to its origins, the Chirograph and the reasons that led to the creation of this  initiative. The website thus becomes a means of presenting not only the energy project itself, but also  the principles and vision which have inspired it.

The News section provides an easily accessible collection of updates, announcements and content  relating to the Foundation’s activities. Its editorial structure has been designed to follow the project’s  development over time and to ensure that the website is kept constantly up to date.

Optimized for mobile devices with a responsive structure that adapts to different screen sizes, the  text, images, menus and content is organized to ensure smooth and orderly navigation on both  smartphones and tablets, providing a consistent user experience regardless of the device used.

Currently available in Italian and English, the new website ensures that the Foundation’s work and  objectives reach both an Italian and a broader international audience.
