Praised films «included religiously themed works such as Pasolini’s ‘The Gospel According to St Matthew'» and «the more-worldly ‘On the Waterfront’ and ‘Citizen Kane.'»
There was a «very favorable response» from the studios, Archbishop Foley said. «It opened more doors to us.»
