The Holy Father appointed the Reverend Priest Flavio Pace, Official of the same Dicastery, as Sub-Secretary of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches.

Rev.do Sac. Flavio Pace

The Rev.do Sac. Flavio Pace was born in Monza on 29 July 1977.

After high school studies in Monza, he entered the Archiepiscopal Seminary of Milan in 1996.

He was ordained a deacon in 2001 and a priest in 2002.

For some years he carried out pastoral activities as parish vicar in Abbiategrasso, taking care of youth ministry, teaching religion in the state school and serving as chaplain at the local hospice.

He obtained the certification in Islam at the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies in Rome in 2010, then collaborating for some initiatives in relations with Islam of the Ambrosian Archdiocese.

An official of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches since 2011, he is Chaplain of the “Teresa Grillo Michel” Institute of the Little Sisters of Divine Providence.
