VATICAN CITY, OCT. 17, 2011 (Zenit.org).- Philadelphia-born Archbishop James Patrick Green has been named the apostolic nuncio to Peru.
The 61-year-old prelate had been the nuncio to South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.
And the Pope chose Monsignor Draen Kutleša to be the coadjutor bishop of the Diocese of Porec i Pula, Croatia. The 43-year-old bishop-designate was an official at the Vatican Congregation for Bishops.
He will serve as coadjutor with Bishop Ivan Milovan, 71.
The Diocese of Porec i Pula has around 185,000 Catholics served by some 115 priests and 80 religious.
