Pope Receives Ugandan Bishops in Audience

CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy, SEPT. 16, 2003 (Zenit.org).- John Paul II returned to his normal work schedule, in the wake of his Slovakia trip, as he met 10 Ugandan bishops in audience.

The Pope received the bishops today at his summer residence of Castel Gandolfo, south of Rome.

The prelates, who included Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala, archbishop of Kampala, are on their five-yearly visit to the Holy See, the Vatican press office reported.
