The $6 million project has helped to house 10,000 people. Housing reconstruction is an unusual activity for Caritas, which collected the funds for the work in numerous Italian dioceses.

Thanks to reconstruction, in many areas of Kosovo there are virtually no more vestiges of destruction. People «have returned to their villages, life has returned to its regularity and continuity,» said Father Lush Gjergij, the parish priest of Bince.
