This 26th meeting of the Council of Cardinals (C9) began September 10, 2018, with Pope Francis presiding. The group will meet through September 12.
The reform of the Roman Curia tops the agenda. The Council has 9 members (thus the informal term «C9») appointed by the Pope to serve as his advisors in Church governance and in elaborating the reform of the Roman Curia and of the Apostolic Constitution.
The Council of Cardinals first meeting was held on 1 October 2013
