Pope Francis received Noel Dias and his family in a private audience on October 2, 2017, at the Vatican.
Diaz is the founder of El Sembrador (The Sower), the popular Catholic evangelization ministry based in Los Angeles.
In particular, the Pope spoke to him about the vocation of the laity: “They must go out and come out to bring the message of Jesus. The message of Jesus is not pure to be preserved for oneself. The message of Jesus is meant to be given. As I received him from him through a brother or sister. I have received this pardon, I give it. This is what Christians must do. I cannot keep Jesus’ message contained. It is not meant to be preserved but to give it. Therefore, everyone sees that this message passes through my hands, I release it and that’s how I leave my cave.
Pope Francis granted an interview to journalist Díaz, issued January 29, 2017, at the Catholic channel El Sembrador (ESNE), in which he spoke about various issues such as the mission of the laity, the need for the Church is on the way out, the young, the single mothers, the elderly, among others.
