In Spain on Tuesday, Sant´Egidio presented a preview of the International Meeting Men and Religions for Peace, which will be held Sept. 2-4 in Barcelona. The motto of the meeting is «The Frontiers of Dialogue: Religions and Civilizations in the New Century.»

The event will bring together 600 leaders of various religions, to promote mutual understanding and dialogue among the creeds.

The initiative is in line with the spirit of the first meeting of religious leaders for peace, convoked by John Paul II in Assisi in 1986. The event has the support of the archbishopric of Barcelona.
