45,000 Registered for Youth Day 2002

TORONTO, NOV. 20, 2001 (Zenit.org).- Over the past month, 45,000 people from 50 countries have registered for the World Youth Day in Toronto next July 18-28.

Chris Hodgson, Canadian Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, has announced $1.37 million for World Youth Day to hire staff to organize the upcoming event. This is in addition to Ontario´s current $1 million commitment.
