The bishops voted 246-7 today to OK the new plan, which stipulates that priests should be removed from public ministry after «even one act of sexual abuse of a minor,» AP said.
The policy would become Church law for all U.S. bishops after a final Vatican review. Vatican officials feared the original plans adopted last June did not ensure due process for priests.
