Videoconference on Canon Law Planned

VATICAN CITY, MAY 25, 2005 (Zenit.org).- A worldwide videoconference of leading theologians will be held this Friday on the topic «Canon Law at the Service of Priests.»

The videoconference, organized by the Congregation for Clergy, may be followed live starting at noon (Rome time) or recorded through the Web page of the dicastery at www.clerus.org.

The Web page will later publish the original texts delivered by the theologians.

A computer needs Real Player to follow the conference with audio and images.

Theologians scheduled for the videoconference include Bishop Gerhard Ludwig Müller of Regensburg, Germany, whose topic is «The Church’s Penal Law,» and Auxiliary Bishop Julian Porteous of Sydney, Australia, on the «Removal and Transfer of Parish Priests.»
