Article: Why Go Back?

This is not a «going back» Mary Jo, this is a return to the beauty, spirituality, and the reverence of the Tridentine Mass. I do not know how old you are, but I grew up during the Pontificate of Pius XII. I could take my Missal to any Catholic Church in the world and understand exactly what the priest was saying.

Latin is the language of the Church, so why isn’t it the language of the liturgy? Well, it is for me because I attend a parish in Omaha, Nebraska, under the shepherd ship of the FSSP. I attend the Latin Mass twice a week since it takes me 45 minutes to get to the church.

Mary Jo, everyone carries a Missal or gets the Latin-English booklets at the back of the church. Come, experience the beauty of the traditional Latin Mass of 1962, not a step back, but a return to sanity.
