A response to: Church in Japan Notes Falling Numbers

I am very concerned about the falling numbers in the Catholic Church in Japan, especially as this appears to be the situation all over the world. Although I am not advocating changes in the basic teachings of the Church, we may need to reconsider how we communicate our teachings to the population. Catholics must also ensure that they clearly understand the teachings of the Church and are able to explain these clearly and logically. We must also accept mistakes and failures of the past with humility and ensure that going forward these are not repeated. Let us all continue to pray for guidance.
