VATICAN CITY, OCT. 4, 2011 (Zenit.org).- An Italian and a Spaniard have been named prelate auditors of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota.

The Vatican announced today the appointment of Monsignor Vito Angelo Todisco of the clergy of the diocese of Avellino, Italy, and Monsignor Felipe Heredia Esteban of the clergy of the diocese of Calahorra y La Calzada-Logrono, Spain.

The former was defender of the bond at the Tribunal of the Roman Rota and the latter was judge of the Tribunal of the Rota of the apostolic nunciature to Madrid.

The Pope also appointed Father Kevin Gillespie, official of the Congregation for the Clergy, and Father Massimiliano Matteo Boiardi, official of the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State, as masters of pontifical ceremonies.
